How to Make Your Dog Dance with AI: One-Photo Video Guide (2026)

Oct 25, 2026PawGroove editorial team

Choose a photo, understand the one-free-try allowance, and learn the complete upload-to-download flow.

The short answer

Start with one clear dog photo, pick a dance template, and check the result before downloading. PawGroove uses the selected photo to generate a new video with music. Two actual examples show what individual results can look like; your result may differ.

The current workflow is 1 JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 10 MB → 1 task → a 10-second vertical MP4, with original music or silent. A new account receives 10 welcome credits for one free 480p preview; videos made with purchased credits are 720p. One video costs 10 credits.

1. Choose a photo you can inspect

Look for one dog with its face, body and paws visible. Even light and some space around the outline make it easier to see what the image contains. Avoid a collage, a face hidden by text, or several overlapping animals. These are preparation tips, not tested guarantees about model quality.

If your phone saves HEIC, export a JPG, PNG or WEBP copy. Check the actual file size; changing the extension does not convert the image. You can also use the built-in sample if you only want to explore the interface.

2. Select a template and start one task

Sign in, watch the template example and review the video settings. The start action spends 10 credits on a new task. Watching an existing task or refreshing the page is different from starting another one.

The studio shows the task status and retains a history. If the page reloads, return to the existing entry before submitting again. A failed task returns its credits; a completed video that you do not like is still a completed task.

3. Preview, download and decide what to edit

Play the whole clip with sound. Check that the MP4 opens on your device and that the portrait format suits your project. Inspect the dog’s face, fur, paws and movement before deciding whether to share it.

Every PawGroove video includes an original instrumental that you may use as part of that video. If you would rather join a trend's sound, add it in TikTok's sound library when you post, and check your platform’s rules. TikTok’s official guidance requires disclosure for realistic AI-generated content; review that guidance at publishing time.

What should a real-generation test check?

Evaluate more than one attractive frame. Inspect the face and coat throughout the clip, count visible paws, watch tail continuity and check contact with the floor. Record failed attempts as well as successful results. A small set of examples does not establish a broad quality or timing benchmark.

Quick questions

Do I need to film my dog dancing? No. The input is a still photo; the model creates the movement.

Can I try without a payment card? Yes. The one-video welcome trial does not ask for payment details.
